CORROSION 2021 Concludes with Closing Ceremony

After a full two weeks of virtual forums, meetings, workshops, courses, the exhibition, and more, the CORROSION 2021 Virtual Conference & Expo was celebrated on the afternoon of April 30 with a closing ceremony.

Cris Conner, vice chair of the AMPP Global Center, and Sam Scaturro, AMPP vice chair, hosted the event, which was sponsored by Corrpro. In addition to thanking the attendees and sponsors, Conner and Scaturro provided the following statistics on conference participation and activities:

  • Attendance by more than 3,000 people from 83 countries
  • 8,600 attendee connections during 615 technical sessions and the virtual exhibit hall
  • 546 speakers
  • More than 24,000 messages exchanged in video and audio calls
  • More than 5,700 audience discussions in the many technical forums, symposia, and other venues
  • 4,000 exhibitor and attendee connections, and an average of 202 visits to each booth

Conner encouraged attendees to plan for the first AMPP annual conference, to be held in San Antonio, Texas, from March 6 to 10. On that note, he then announced the five winners from this year’s drawing for a San Antonio box giveaway: Laura Cardenas Schulz, Jack Walton, Amanda Szwed, Garron Ross, and Ruth Clay.

Scaturro announced the five winners of the drawing for a free registration to AMPP 2022: Oladis de Rincon, Taner Serter, Joseph Bopp, Hernan Rincon, and Joel Lack.

The 2022 AMPP Conference + Expo will combine the best of CORROSION and COATINGS+ to bring corrosion and coatings professionals the leading industry event.
